Riina pulled him into a deep kiss, her body shivering with aftershocks.
His tongue tangled with hers as he rolled onto his side, pulling her close. “I love you, Kat.”
“I love you too, so much.” she said, smiling softly.
He kissed her again, holding her tight. He laid a hand on her cheek, “You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.”
She blushed darkly and looked down shyly. “Am I?”
He nodded. Yes, there had been Marilla and the girls. But he didn’t feel guilty for saying it. Riina had her own beauty and so did they. He was learning the difference between moving on and forgetting.
She smiled and kissed him softly, arms wrapping around him.
